Alex Balus, MTM

Alex Balus is a staff engineer with the UCSF Pediatric Device Consortium. He obtained his Masters of Translational Medicine from UC Berkeley and UCSF. As his year-long capstone project, he was the engineering lead working on a wireless, implantable pressure sensor for use mainly in the cardiovascular space. Before his Master's program, Alex attended the University of California, San Diego where he received a B.S. in Bioengineering with a focus on medical devices and mechanical engineering. During his undergraduate career, he worked on a third world medical device project intended to make vaccines more accessible to underprivileged nations.
