This event brings together innovators, researchers, clinicians and industry experts to showcase innovative pediatric technologies being developed at Stanford Children’s Health and beyond. Attendees will learn about the resources and processes that support innovation at Stanford Children’s Health, including how to disclose and protect new inventions and access the resources of the FDA-funded UCSF-Stanford Pediatric Device Consortium. The event will culminate in the PDC’s second annual Shark Tank–style competition, where designers of pediatric innovative technologies in various stages of development will pitch their ideas to a panel of judges for a chance to win up to $50k in seed funding, prototyping support, and customized advising.
This event will feature:
Thought leaders who will discuss resources and processes that support innovation at Stanford Children’s Health
The new, FDA-funded, UCSF-Stanford Pediatric Device Consortium (PDC) which helps drive promising pediatric device ideas to market for patients
A panel of pediatric health entrepreneurs discussing the meaningful use of data to improve outcomes in maternal and child health
Biotech innovators who will highlight advances in drug development
The UCSF-Stanford PDC’s pitch competition, where designers of pediatric innovative technologies in various stages of development, from prototype to finished product, will pitch their ideas to a panel of judges for a chance at seed funding
A speed networking session—a unique, informal environment for attendees to meet directly with innovators, thought leaders and subject matter experts
